Dear God what is that thing?!?

I am really, really starting to be creeped out by online ad placement. Even my Gmail is a little freaky now and again. But sending messages to friends and family on FB one day, and I get this ad:

 on the flip side, its great that Americans in debt can get info about how to keep their underwater ass(ets) from drowning, but OMG WHAT IS THAT THING?! I no longer care about recession relief, the whole ad has been hijacked by that...that...wtf is that?
